I wish just words could make things okay
But I miss you more than I can possibly say
Though you are not here to see me grow
There's simply so much I want you to know
So much time, Mom, and oh so many years
Cannot, will not, change the impact of my tears

There is so much I've learned from you
Your life, to me, was such a huge gift
Just the thought of you makes my heart lift
I miss you, Mom, you must know that much
I long for your hugs, my heart they did touch
Your last words truly meant the world to me
For I love you too, Mom, this you must see
And nothing can take those three words away
They are in my heart, where forever they'll stay
